Don't Dream it's Over

Song: Don't Dream it's Over
Artist: Crowded House
Album:Crowded House

I'll always remember this song being used in the Stephen King TV miniseries "The Stand," in an opening title sequence that showed dead bodies everywhere after the leak of the deadly virus. Equal parts scary and comforting.

Brilliant.

Crowded House have a new album coming out this year.

This song takes me back to when I was working at Record World - our manager just kept playing it over and over. The album cover is a little eerie now - cofounding member Paul Hester is pictured ascending with angel wings. He committed suicide in 2005.

I think crowded house is one act from its time whose music has aged very well. My faves of theirs' are "Locked Out" from the soundtrack of Reality Bites and "Fall at your Feet."
