Rattled

Song: Rattled
Artist: The Traveling Wilburys
Album: Collection

The Traveling Wilburys were an 80's supergroup consisting of music legends George Harrison (The Beatles,) Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne (E.L.O.) They all had silly "Willbury" names and while the music was done in a very slick 80's rock fashion (Production by Lynn) the group seemed to really just set out to A) have a blast like only a group of rock legends could, and B) try their hand at writing songs in a variety of musical styles from days done by.

Both Wilburys albums, "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1" and Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3" (haha, there is no vol. 2... these boys are so clever) had never been released on CD but this month finds a two disc "box set" called "Collection" that pute together everything from those two albums as well as a handful of B-Sides.

Despite the pedigree of those involved, these guys were out to have fun, not write two classic albums. But there are some great songs here, including hits "End of the Line," "Handle With Care," (which was covered by Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins) and "Last Night." I didn't remember "Rattled" from way back then (I had a cassette of vol. 1 but never got 3) but it's a fun rock-a-billy shuffle that's quick and to the point.

Enjoy.
